TaskTap.ai Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," "our") operates TaskTap.ai, an AI-powered task and team-accountability platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — including for users who purchased access via an AppSumo Lifetime Deal ("LTD").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Organization Data

Name, email address, phone number, company name, team size, and role, collected when you sign up, book a demo, or redeem an AppSumo code.

1.2 Task & Performance Data ("Customer Data")

Tasks, deadlines, deadline revision history, KPI scores, weekly performance snapshots, and related notes entered by you or your team members while using the platform.

1.3 Communication Data

Messages sent via our WhatsApp and email reminder features are logged for delivery confirmation and audit purposes (e.g., "Client Report Q3 is overdue — reminder sent").

1.4 AppSumo Purchase Data

If you purchase via AppSumo, we receive your license code, redemption email, and tier/plan information from AppSumo to activate your account. We do not receive your AppSumo payment card details — that is handled entirely by AppSumo.

1.5 Technical Data

IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics (pages visited, features used) collected via cookies and similar technologies.

3. AI Processing

TaskTap.ai uses third-party AI providers to power features such as task drafting, summary generation, and deadline-reason suggestions. Relevant task text may be sent to these providers to generate outputs. We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their general-purpose models beyond what is necessary to deliver the requested output, and we select providers with comparable data-handling commitments.

5. AppSumo LTD Users — Specific Notes

5.1 Data Continuity

Your Customer Data is tied to your TaskTap.ai account, not your AppSumo purchase record. If you stack multiple codes, all data remains under a single account.

5.2 Data on Refund

If you request a refund through AppSumo within the eligible window, your account access will be downgraded or deactivated, and associated Customer Data will be retained for 30 days (in case you repurchase) before deletion, unless you request earlier deletion.

5.3 Data if the Company Changes Hands

If TaskTap.ai is acquired or ceases operations, LTD holders' data will be handled per Section 2.6 of our Terms & Conditions — with advance notice and, where feasible, an export option before any data is deleted or transferred.

6. Data Retention

We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active. Weekly performance snapshots are retained in full for historical/audit purposes (frozen and non-editable, as described on our site) unless you request deletion. Upon account closure, data is retained for 30 days for recovery purposes, then permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage users to safeguard their own login credentials.

9. International Data Transfers

As an India-based company serving Indian and international teams, your data may be processed on servers located outside your home country. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfer.

10. Children's Privacy

TaskTap.ai is intended for business use by individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly.
